Nude, the glassware sponsor for the Sommelier Wine Awards, has launched its ethereal new Stem Zero range, designed to satisfy even the most discerning connoisseur.

The Istanbul-based brand’s finest glassware range is made of delicate crystalline, giving an almost weightless feel. The aim of this is to remove all distractions between the drinker and their enjoyment of the wine.

Each of the 11 glasses in the collection is expertly crafted to enhance the characteristics of a different wine – for example, the softly tapered brim of the range’s champagne flute retains aroma and fizz, while the full bodied white wine glass’s large bowl is wonderfully suited to complex wines, allowing fruity overtones and oaky creaminess to shine through.

‘Elegant’ and ‘powerful’ red wine glasses respectively amplify the high-tone aromas of light reds such as Pinot Noir and allow maximum appreciation of bold, tannic reds, such as Cabernet or Syrah.

‘Drinking a fresh Sauvignon Blanc, an oaky Chardonnay, an elegant Pinot or a robust Cabernet can be something normal for a wine connoisseur, however tasting these same wines with Nude's spectacular Stem Zero collection is an experience that takes wine tasting to a different level,’ said SWA deputy competition director, Micaela Martins Ferreira.

The brand’s ethos of ‘simple and beautiful’ is well reflected in the range, and won it a mention at the German Design Awards.

Launched in 2014 with a mission to design and create beautiful collections of lead-free crystal glass objects, Nude has already gained much recognition for its portfolio of glassware, which is informed by leading international designers and has earned the brand accolades from the likes of Red Dot, Wallpaper Design, German Design and IF Awards.
