New kids on the block

Pearly Queen

On 11 November, chef Tom Brown (Cornerstone) will open an oyster bar and restaurant in London’s hip Shoreditch district. Naturally, Pearly Queen’s menu will feature fresh oysters and shellfish, in addition to inventive takes on fish recipes. The cocktail list, meanwhile, has been curated by Max Venning (Three Sheets) – expect classic mixology with a coastal theme.

The Wolseley City

Despite the ongoing grief caused by inflation, entrepreneurs are continuing to invest in London's dynamic restaurant industry. The Wolseley City will launch on 8 November – fans would queue round the block for the original Mayfair incarnation, and we anticipate much the same response. Expect two private dining rooms, slick service and comfort food executed with flair and pizazz.

Broadwick Soho

The glamorous theme continues with the planned opening of Broadwick Soho on 15 November. Three of the hotel's four bars and restaurants (Broadwick embraces a hybrid philosophy) are open to the public, offering contemporary Italian drinking and dining that invokes the spirit of la dolce vita.  A wide selection of Italian wines, spirits, and cocktails will also be available.
